How we use AI on your patterns.

Sewists can preview a pattern rendered in the fabric they actually own — that is the point of the Design Studio, and it is why patterns here get tried on before they get bought. Handing your work to an AI pipeline is not a small thing to ask, so here is exactly what happens, and how to say no.

What gets processed
When AI rendering is on, we generate a preview image of your pattern — shown on a dress form, or on a runway model in a sewist's chosen fabric. Your pattern files themselves — the PDFs, plotter files and instructions sewists buy from you — are never sent anywhere for AI processing.
AI model training
We do not sell, license, or supply your patterns, sketches or descriptions to anyone for the purpose of training AI models, and our rendering is set up so your content is not used to train anyone else's models either.
Where the generated images appear
AI previews are generated for display inside the app and Design Studio — on your pattern's listing, in a sewist's saved designs, and in promotional placements such as the featured carousel. They are representations, not photographs of a finished garment.
Your choice, per pattern
Every pattern carries its own setting. Turn AI rendering off and that pattern is only ever shown as the technical sketch you uploaded — no model, no fabric, no generated image. You can change it at any time from the pattern's settings.
